Why do herbs interact with medicines?

The widespread belief that natural herbs are inherently safe and cannot conflict with medicines is both wrong and dangerous. Liver toxicity from herbs: the less-known and more serious risk

Herb-induced liver injury is a growing medical challenge as herbal supplement use increases.
